Yellow = Clean

9th of July 2011, a day where you can see Malaysian's in yellow on the street holding banners in their hand that says 'Bersih 2.0' (Clean 2.0)..

What is it all about??
It's an act of justice to improve Malaysia's election system, to become a fairer voting system..

In support of this campaign, Malaysians all over the country gather for a demonstration in their respective states, wearing yellow clothings, holding Bersih banners and create awareness for a much more just voting system..

Not just in Malaysia, Malaysians in Hong Kong too are having this demonstration..

Why is it such a big issue??
The federal government of Malaysia is against this campaign.
Those who wear the 'Bersih' t-shirt or holds the 'Bersih' banner will be taken under arrest...

The reason for this arrest is unknown to me..

But what is the Bersih campaign all about??
Why is it such a big issue??
Are all the demonstrations needed?
Why is the government against it??

Lets see what Bersih is requesting the government to change in the election system:
Clean and Fair Election for Malaysia
Isn't it supposed to be fair??
Use of indelible ink
Free & fair ascess to media

I thought all these are supposed to be the basic requirements for an election...
And why is the government against these what it seem to be basic requirements??

Police officers & FRUs are at every demonstration area to put a stop to this act and it ends up as below....

Listen carefully at 0:53..

A new Malaysian History...
